Course Description
Explore the characteristics of a high-quality, play-based classroom learning environment. Participants will examine the purpose of the Environmental Quality Scale and Centers Checklist and practice using the scale to identify indicators of quality in prekindergarten classrooms.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Establish effective conditions for family conversations.
- Use objective, observation-based language.
- Initiate conversations with families using supportive language.
- Engage families as partners in problem-solving.
- Demonstrate empathy and professionalism in difficult conversations.
- Provide actionable strategies and supports to families.
Completion Requirements
To earn 0.2 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), participants must:
- Complete the asynchronous training course.
- Complete the course post-test with a score of 75% or higher.
