Small Groups and Flexible Small Groups (On-Demand)

Course Description

Explore the purpose and framework of Small Groups and differentiated Flexible Small Groups instruction. Participants will examine effective materials, classroom setup, and instructional practices, then use the Every Child Ready Gradebooks to analyze data, form groups, plan lessons, and monitor children’s progress.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

• Learn the purpose and framework for Small Groups instruction.
• Explore the best materials, environmental setup, and practice attributes for the Small Groups component.
• Plan to manage and support children during the Small Groups and Centers component.
• Learn the purpose and framework of differentiated, Flexible Small Groups.
• Explore the Every Child Ready Gradebooks to analyze, group, plan for, and monitor Flexible Small Groups lessons.

Completion Requirements

To earn 0.1 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), participants must:

• Complete the asynchronous training course.
• Complete the course post-test with a score of 75% or higher.
