Course Description
Explore the purpose of the Every Child Ready Science standards and instructional strategies that support children’s understanding of scientific concepts. Participants will use the standards, curriculum, and resources to plan integrated science learning opportunities and examine the importance of teacher-guided inquiry.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Learn the purpose of the Every Child Ready Social Science standards.
- Identify instructional strategies to foster children’s understanding of science studies concepts using Every Child Ready curriculum and resources.
- Apply your knowledge of Every Child Ready standards to plan integrated science learning opportunities.
- Understand the importance of teacher-guided inquiry in children's science learning.
Completion Requirements
To earn 0.1 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), participants must:
- Attend the full 1-hour live training.
- Complete the course post-test with a score of 75% or higher.
Scheduling Live Training
Directors may schedule live training with their Every Child Ready coach or point of contact, based on availability. Campuses without an Every Child Ready coach may purchase live training at an hourly rate. To learn more or request a training for your campus, please contact ECR Support.
