Course Description

Explore the Every Child Ready philosophy and approach to supporting prekindergarten children’s learning and development. Participants will examine common developmental sequences, individual differences, developmentally appropriate strategies, and the Every Child Ready essential standards to identify appropriate expectations for young children.

 

Learning Objectives

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Learn the Every Child Ready philosophy and approach to supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Understand that children’s development typically follows a sequence; however, individual children develop at their own pace.
  • Identify developmentally appropriate strategies and attributes that support prekindergarten children’s development.
  • Examine Every Child Ready’s essential standards to identify appropriate developmental expectations.

 

Completion Requirements

To earn 0.1 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), participants must:

  • Complete the asynchronous training course.
  • Complete the course post-test with a score of 75% or higher.
