PK4 Unit 3 Overview (On-Demand)

Course Description

In Unit 3: Construction: Blueprint to Building, children will explore the construction process, construction workers, and tools. They will start with a plan and end with a completed structure. In addition, the unit will focus on the responsibilities of construction workers and the tools they use to get the job done! Children will practice and identify preferred calming strategies to use when they experience big feelings. In this course, participants will: 

1. Identify the literacy and language, mathematics, and social-emotional learning skills children will learn in Unit 3.
2. Analyze how you will use Unit 3 lessons, materials, and resources in your classroom.
3. Explore how Read Aloud lessons are integrated into thematic learning throughout Unit 3.
4. Plan for integrated Read Aloud instruction.
5. Prepare for Centers using lesson plans, materials, and resources.

Completion Requirements

To earn 0.1 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), participants must:

• Complete the asynchronous training course.
• Complete the course post-test with a score of 75% or higher.
