Course Description

Explore the purpose of the Every Child Ready Narrative Comprehension standards and strategies for supporting children’s engagement with narrative and informational texts. Participants will use the standards and curriculum to plan learning opportunities that strengthen children’s understanding of both types of text.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

• Learn the purpose of the Every Child Ready Narrative Comprehension standards.
• Identify instructional strategies to support children’s engagement with narrative and informational texts using the Every Child Ready curriculum.
• Apply your knowledge of Every Child Ready Narrative Comprehension standards by planning learning opportunities that foster children’s understanding of narrative and informational texts.
