Gross Motor (On-Demand)

Course Description

Explore the purpose of the Every Child Ready Gross Motor component and how physical activity supports children’s behavior, attention, and learning. Participants will examine best practices for planning and implementing Gross Motor lessons and use the Foundational Checklists to analyze instruction through a coaching lens.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

• Learn the purpose of the Gross Motor component.
• Learn the positive associations of physical activity with children’s behavior, attention, and learning.
• Learn best practices for planning and implementing the Every Child Ready Gross Motor component.
• Apply a coaching lens to a teacher’s Gross Motor lesson using the Foundational Checklists.

Completion Requirements

To earn 0.2 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), participants must:

• Complete the asynchronous training course.
• Complete the course post-test with a score of 75% or higher.
