Course Description

Explore the value of learning through play and how to create an effective, play-based Every Child Ready Centers environment. Participants will examine the teacher’s role in facilitating children’s learning, learn strategies for establishing routines and managing Centers, and develop a Centers management plan.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

• Develop an understanding of why learning through play is valuable.
• Learn how to set up a play-based Centers learning environment.
• Explore the Every Child Ready Centers.
• Understand the role teachers play in fostering children's learning through facilitating play.
• Learn strategies for classroom management and routines during Centers.
• Create a plan for Centers management.

Completion Requirements

To earn 0.3 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), participants must:

• Complete the asynchronous training course.
• Complete the course post-test with a score of 75% or higher.

Practitioners may earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and/or PD hours, which can often be applied toward teaching certification renewals and other professional accreditations upon successful completion of course requirements.
