Full course description

Through exploring a variety of age-appropriate texts and print materials, children develop an understanding of book and print concepts. In this course, you will: 

  1. Learn the purpose of the Every Child Ready Book Knowledge standards,
  2. Identify instructional strategies to support children’s knowledge of books and print using the Every Child Ready curriculum,
  3. Apply your knowledge of Every Child Ready Book Knowledge standards by planning book-based learning opportunities that foster children’s exploration and appreciation of books and print, and
  4. Understand the importance of cultivating a print-rich prekindergarten classroom environment.
