Gain a deeper understanding of young children’s behavior and how to respond with empathy and intention. In this training, you’ll reflect on how behavior develops, explore the reasons behind common preschool and pre-K behaviors, and learn co-regulation strategies to support children in real time. Practice planning thoughtful, supportive responses that help children feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.
In this training, you will…
- Reflect on the developmental progression of young children’s behavior.
- Explain how the functions of behavior relate to preschool and prekindergarten behavior patterns.
- Identify co-regulation strategies to support children in the classroom.
- Plan and practice supportive responses to common, unexpected, or dysregulated behaviors.
